Signature Symphony at Tulsa Community College will present Tulsa Sings!, its highly anticipated vocal talent competition, now in its sixth year. This unique event shines a spotlight on undiscovered singers who call Tulsa home, offering them an opportunity to perform alongside one of New York’s most celebrated vocalists and a professional orchestra.
This year’s Tulsa Sings! Open Mic Night” concert takes place on Saturday, March 8, featuring eight finalists selected from a rigorous audition process that included video submissions and callback rounds.
“Tulsa Sings is easily one of the most fun events of the year. To have such an extraordinarily high level of talent competing—and having a ridiculously good time—alongside the Signature Symphony is enough to put a smile of anticipation on my face,” says Signature Symphony Artistic Director Scott Seaton. “Anyone could become the next champion and it’s thrilling to see who the audience will choose as their favorite.”

Each finalist will take the stage at TCC Southeast’s VanTrease Performing Arts Center for Education under the guidance of Scott Coulter, an award-winning New York-based vocalist and concert performer. Beyond the competition, finalists gain an invaluable mentorship experience with Coulter, who provides expert coaching on vocal technique and artistic interpretation.
A local celebrity panel of judges will select the Tulsa Sings! Grand Prize Winner, who will be invited to return as a featured guest vocalist for “Christmas in Tulsa.” In addition, the audience will cast their votes for the Audience Favorite, who will earn a performance spot at the annual “4th on the 3rd” concert on July 3.
Tulsa Sings! Open Mic Night takes place on Saturday, March 8, at 7:30 p.m. at TCC Southeast’s VanTrease PACE at 10300 E 81st St, Tulsa, OK 74133.
