Signature Symphony at TCC’s Free Open Rehearsal, originally scheduled for tonight, is moving to 6:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 25, due to weather and travel conditions. The Free Open Rehearsal takes place at the VanTrease Performing Arts Center for Education on the TCC Southeast Campus.
This is your pass to go behind the scenes into the life of a conductor or a professional musician and experience live music in the rehearsal leading up to the concert date. The Free Open Rehearsal begins at 6:30 p.m., with a pre-rehearsal chat with Alejandro Gómez Guillén, a conductor and finalist for Signature Symphony artistic director. Then, stay to watch Guillén and the orchestra prepare for this weekend’s concert. Music lovers of all ages are welcome, and it is free to the public.
The concert, “Fantastical: Firebird Meets Harry Potter,” is 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022, at the VanTrease PACE on the TCC Southeast Campus. Journey into the fantastic and magical world of Hogwarts and realms beyond with the upcoming Signature Symphony concert featuring music from the popular Harry Potter movies and Stravinsky’s “The Firebird.” Dress in your best wizard attire for this family-friendly evening of magic, myth and folklore.
