Grand Prize Winner Announced
Andrea Pettigrove Bar grew up in Tulsa, a lifelong attendee and graduate of Jenks schools. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fla., where she was awarded the Jerry Herman Musical Theatre Award for Outstanding Work and Dedication. Favorite past roles include Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes, Babe in Good News, Meredith Parker in Bat Boy, and Marian Paroo in The Music Man. Upon graduation, Andrea moved to New York City, earning acclaim for her role as Dia in The Penguin Tango, an original play that was awarded an Encore run in the New York International Fringe Festival. Andrea’s love of travel led her to audition for Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, where she worked for several years as a Lead Female Vocalist. While working for Royal Caribbean she met her husband, Ofir; they have two beautiful children, Grace (7) and Ethan (3). After living in South Florida, their family moved back to Andrea’s hometown of Tulsa in 2021, where she’s a stay-at-home mom and an active volunteer at Bixby Public Schools. She is thrilled to be back onstage singing with a live orchestra again and honored to collaborate with Scott Coulter and the other finalists.
